Learning Design - For your online course or class, for you f2f, distance or blended class. This presentation outlines the development of a set of guidelines for creating and publishing your course. The guidelines cover topics such as planning your course, which tools to use, copyright issues and interoperability of your newly created resource. The guidelines are being developed for use by the Virtual Learning Network (http://virtuallearning.school.nz/) and schools nationwide.

Derek Wenmoth- Keynote - Derek is a key figure and has been influential in shaping a vision for elearning in NZ and in the development of the VLN in particular. Derek Wenmoth is currently director of eLearning at CORE Education, and is involved with a wide range of e-learning activities from exploring the innovative use of the latest technologies and researching e-learning practices, to helping establish policy and strategies to enable the implementation of e-learning.
With a background as a teacher, principal, teacher educator and education policy advisor, Derek's role at CORE perfectly combines his passion for teaching and learning together with his long held fascination with the use of technologies in education.
In recognition of his work in this area, Derek was designated one of 2008's 'Global Six' by the George Lucas Educational Foundation's Edutopia which recognises individuals making a difference in education. Derek's keynote will focus on Learning Design.
